macOS-Inspired Portfolio: Job Hunt Edition
A React-powered, macOS-themed portfolio built during active job search. Core React challenges over flashy animations, deployed on AWS Amplify.
After leaving my previous startup role due to downsizing, I channeled job hunt frustrations into building a macOS-inspired portfolio—perfect for those endless application forms requesting project links. The design mimics macOS aesthetics for familiarity while focusing on React fundamentals like context state management over CSS animations. Deployed on AWS Amplify, it's live at https://lnkd.in/gFGxrYFJ (best on desktop).[1]
Key Features
1. macOS-Themed Interface
Clean, Apple-inspired UI elements that feel native without over-the-top animations, prioritizing usability during quick recruiter scans.[3]
2. Core React Architecture
Avoided prop drilling with Context API for global state, delivering backend dev thrills in a frontend project—far more satisfying than keyframes.[4]
3. Essential Sections Upfront
Homepage showcases resume, projects, and contacts immediately, tackling the "portfolio" field in applications head-on.
4. Responsive Yet Desktop-Optimized
Mobile-friendly but shines on desktop, matching macOS windowing for that authentic feel—thanks to my uncle's Mac influence.
Development Mindset
Job hunting feels like unrequited love after 100+ rejections, but mantras like "jo hota hai ache ke liye hota hai" and Spurs' Europa win keep momentum. Self-doubt hits, but resets via challenges (Jira nostalgia included) turn it into character growth. No sponsorship needed, fully eligible—now hunting backend/fullstack roles.[5]
